Dry Ice Day the Dry Ice Bomb

Today, Mr. Allen, Room 7 and I did some experiments using dry ice. There were some experiments that were not scary and ones that were scary. I am going to tell you about one that had my heart racing at one-hundred and forty-three miles per minute.

We went down by the hall to do an experiment with water and dry ice in a bottle. We had to stand way back, then Mr. Allen put in the ice and closed the lid. After a couple of minutes it went KA-BOOM!  Then all of Room 7 raced down to the explosion site, I was scared, and it went everywhere! For example, the lid blew down past the far away trees! I was quite scared while I was waiting and couldn't believe my eyes when it fizzed, bubbled then exploded with so much pressure!! It was unbelievable and amazing. I also saw pieces of dry ice on the ground.

It was an AWESOME day !
